The pure color within the visible spectrum of light contributes to our habitat on Earth and allows our vision. With the collection, Color Planes, I am most interested in how our mind recognizes and associates many environments and images based on color. Pre-conditioning us with those assumptions can affect the viewing result. Can those same qualities encourage us to adjust our mood or imagination simply with the wavelength vibration that color generates? The Color Plane concept delves into how color is captured on a flat surface with light, representing the nearly unlimited color capacity of Cibachrome. The multi-layered light-sensitive surface, translucent dyes, and reflective background combine to create the perfect Color Plane zone to explore the concepts further.
